[CNA] Annual increase of 263% in Cyprus residents' trips in January 2022, down 64% with January 2020

Cyprus residents' travel abroad increased by 263% in January 2022, compared to January last year, but is down 64% compared to January 2020, before the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

Specifically, according to the Statistical Service, trips abroad by Cyprus residents in January 2022 amounted to 48,382 compared to 13,307 in January 2021, an increase of 263.6% and a decrease of 64.0% compared to January 2020.

The main countries from which Cyprus residents returned in January 2022 were Greece with 28.0%, the United Kingdom with 13.8% and Russia with 8.2%.



According to the Statistical Service, the data for January 2022 were obtained by processing the data of the electronic platform "Cyprus Flight Pass".
