The need for ancient monuments to belong under the roof of a single body of culture, the Deputy Ministry of Culture, expressed the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth Prodromos Prodromou, on the occasion of the informal meeting of EU Culture Ministers in France, on 7 and 8 March.
It is not possible, he said, for Culture Ministers to plan joint actions for ancient monuments, heritage, antiquities and in Nicosia this is a matter of Transport and Works.
"I am glad that a week from today the Parliament will give a solution to this piecemeal approach and the displacement of antiquities in Transport, with a logic that goes back to the colonial era," he said.
