AKEL criticises the Ministry of Interior for ``anti-opposition syndrome that exposes it and unsubstantiated positions'' on the occasion of its reports on the government's housing policy.
In a statement, the Ministry of Interior says that while the government is significantly increasing the budget of the housing plans for 2022, "AKEL engages in its usual nihilistic and sterile policy and before even hearing the announcement of the government's revised and upgraded housing plans, it is quick to characterise them as 'reheated food'".
He wonders how this is "reheated food" when the Government has increased total spending for 2022 to €125 million, an increase of 22.4% over 2021 and twice as much as in 2018.
