The setting of fixed fares for road transport violates provisions of the Competition Law, according to a statement by the Cyprus Consumer Association.
As mentioned, the Association's President Marios Drusiotis had sent a letter to the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works on January 28 regarding the provisions of the Road Transport Regulation Laws 1982 to 2019 and in particular the provisions of the Regulatory Administrative Act K.D.
