[CNA] A total of 5,244 new COVID-19 cases and 230 hospitalisations announced on Friday

A total of 5,244 (positivity rate: 3.76%) new cases of COVID-19 disease were detected on Friday by PCR and antigen rapid tests, bringing the total number of cases to197.401.

According to the Ministry of Health, no deaths of patients with COVID-19 as the final cause of death were recorded, and therefore the total number of deaths remains 650.

Meanwhile, 230 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, 81 of whom are in serious condition. A proportion of 77.83% of hospitalized patients have no history of vaccination.

In addition, 18 post-COVID patients who ceased to be infectious (declassified cases) continue to be hospitalized intubated in serious condition due to COVID in an ICU.
