The seizure of 94 kilos of fish and the denunciation of four people for illegal fishing with a net and a snorkel, was made earlier this week by the Department of Fisheries and Marine Research (TATHE) in the area of the Governor's Coast.
Specifically, according to a statement issued by the TATF, which was transmitted by the GMP, the individuals were located and reported as part of a coordinated operation by the Department.
As stated, the offences reported concerned fishing with a net without a vessel, without the relevant fishing permit, fishing with a snorkel without the necessary buoy, fishing more than five kilos of fish in total in a 24-hour period, keeping/landing fish of recreational fishing from which the upper lobe of the caudal fin has not been cut off.
