The person who had escaped from the Paphos Police Station's detention facilities is expected to be tried directly before the Paphos Criminal Court towards the end of the week.
Following his arrest last Saturday, a detention order for eight days has been issued by the Paphos Court.
Paphos CID officer and Paphos Police press spokesman Michael Nicolaou said that by Thursday or Friday the file is expected to be completed and the case will be registered at the Paphos court with the aim of being referred for trial before the Paphos Permanent Criminal Court.
