The Police made complaints against 8 citizens in the last 24 hours, after 1,648 checks carried out nationwide, in order to ascertain compliance with and implementation of the provisions of the Infectious Diseases Act.
A spokesman for the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters told CNA that the complaints concerned the non-use of masks either in cars or in enclosed areas.
In Nicosia 412 checks were carried out, with no complaints, while in Limassol 120 checks were carried out, which also resulted in no complaints.
In Larnaca 372 checks were carried out and one citizen filed a complaint, while in Paphos one person also filed a complaint after 50 checks were carried out.
In Famagusta 395 checks were carried out, with the police making 6 complaints, while in the Morphou area 46 checks were carried out
