The Police recommends caution against online scams, on the occasion of a case reported today by a 51-year-old woman from Limassol, who paid a fake invoice received via email for purchases made online.
According to the police, the 51-year-old woman complained today, at the Limassol Police Station, that on November 29, 2021, she had ordered six dining chairs from a store located in a foreign country.
On 3 January 2022, she received an email, which asked her to proceed with the payment of the bill for the six chairs, through a transfer to a specific bank account.
