[CNA] 50% occupancy rate on the three days of Christmas and New Year's Eve, says the DG of PASYXE to CNA

Hotel occupancy rates were around 50% during the three days of Christmas and New Year's Eve, according to the Director General of the Pancyprian Association of Hoteliers (PASYXE) Filokypro Roussounidis. He notes that in a pan-Cypriot climate, 20% of hotels and tourist accommodations are currently in operation.
In his statements to CNA, Mr. Roussounidis said that in early December, before the big outbreak of cases and the outbreak of the "Omicron" mutation, it became apparent that there was a great demand at home for short breaks, taking advantage of the plan to strengthen domestic tourism mainly during the festive three days of Christmas and New Year's Eve.
