An 8-day detention order has been issued against the five arrested in connection with the car fraud case, according to police.
According to a police statement yesterday, the police arrested a 63-year-old Nicosia resident on Wednesday night to facilitate investigations into an ongoing case of conspiracy to commit a felony and a misdemeanor, abuse of authority, issuing false certificates by public officials, neglect of official duty, forgery, circulation of forged documents and securing registration with false representations.
The arrest of the 63-year-old is the fifth arrest in this case, after four other arrests to facilitate investigations.
