The Famagusta District Court today sentenced a 44-year-old man, a resident of the free Famagusta province, for offences relating to driving a motor vehicle committed on 30/3/2021.
As the spokesman for the Famagusta Police Directorate, Andreas Constantinou, told CNA, "the 44-year-old man was found guilty of driving a motor vehicle without being covered by a safety certificate, refusing to provide a sample for a preliminary drug test and had violated a Court order, as he was driving a motor vehicle while deprived of the right to hold a driving licence."
He added that "the Famagusta District Court imposed on the 44-year-old a sentence of 30 days' immediate imprisonment, deprivation of driver's licence for a period of 90 days and 5 penalty points".
