On Monday, the Limassol Permanent Criminal Court imposed a seven-year prison sentence for the offence of possession of drugs for the purpose of supplying them to other persons on a 37-year-old man.
According to a police statement, the prison sentence relates to the possession of 3.5 kilos of cannabis, which had been detected and seized by the YKAN after an operation last November in Limassol.
Specifically, on 30 November, members of the YKAN, after evaluating information, placed under surveillance in an area of Limassol the vehicle in which the 37-year-old was a passenger and driven by a second suspect, a 41-year-old man.
