During the last 24 hours (from 06.00 on Sunday until 06.00 today), 2,182 checks were carried out by the Police nationwide, in order to ascertain compliance with the measures and the implementation of the provisions of the Infectious Diseases Act.
A spokesman for the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters told CNA that 27 complaints from citizens and 9 complaints concerning establishments were received during the checks.
As for the checks by province, 398 checks were carried out in Nicosia, which resulted in 8 complaints from citizens and 8 premises, and 305 checks were carried out in Limassol, which resulted in 5 complaints from citizens and 1 premises, 584 checks were carried out in Larnaca, resulting in 3 complaints from citizens; 116 checks were carried out in Paphos,
