[CNA] 32-year-old parent in custody for allegedly threatening a school principal in Paphos over COVID measures

A 32-year-old parent of a pupil has been detained in connection with a case of threats against the Headmistress of Empa Primary School, in relation to the implementation of the provisions of a decree of the Ministry of Health, the Paphos Police is investigating.


According to the Pafos Assistant Police Director, Michalis Ioannou, on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, around noon, a complaint was made to the Pafos Police Directorate by a Headmistress of Empa Primary School that on the same day a 32-year-old man, who resides in Paphos, contacted the Secretariat of the School by telephone and demanded from the employee of the Secretariat to talk to the Headmistress of the School.


The employee told him that at that moment the Headmistress could not speak and then he allegedly threatened that he would go to the complainant's residence and cause harm to her husband and children.
