During the last 24 hours (from 06.00 on Wednesday until 06.00 today), 2,072 checks were carried out by the Police nationwide, in order to ascertain compliance with the measures and the implementation of the provisions of the Infectious Diseases Act.
A spokesman for the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters told CNA that 20 complaints from citizens and 11 complaints from the managers of establishments were received during the checks.
As for the checks by province, 513 checks were carried out in Nicosia, which resulted in 7 complaints from citizens and 5 from establishments, 216 checks were carried out in Limassol, which resulted in 8 complaints from citizens and 3 from establishments, and 583 checks were carried out in Larnaca, which resulted in 2 complaints from citizens and one establishment; in Paphos 132 checks were carried out, BR\](CNA)
