2,611 checks have been carried out by the Police nationwide in the last 24 hours (from 06.00 on Thursday until 06.00 today), in order to ascertain compliance with the measures and the implementation of the provisions of the Infectious Diseases Act.
A spokesman for the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters told CNA that 14 complaints from citizens and 15 complaints from the managers of establishments were received during the inspections.
As for the checks by province, 715 checks were carried out in Nicosia, which resulted in 7 complaints from citizens and 7 establishments, 301 checks were carried out in Limassol, which resulted in 1 complaint from a citizen and 3 complaints from establishments, and 616 checks were carried out in Larnaca, which resulted in 1 complaint from an establishment.
