During the last 24 hours (from 06.00 on Monday until 06.00 today), 1,748 checks were carried out by the Police nationwide, in order to ascertain compliance with the measures and the implementation of the provisions of the Infectious Diseases Act.
A spokesman for the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters told CNA that 13 complaints from citizens and 16 complaints from the managers of establishments were received during the checks.
As for the checks by province, 477 checks were carried out in Nicosia, which resulted in 4 complaints from citizens and 10 premises, 115 checks were carried out in Limassol, which resulted in 4 complaints from citizens and 3 premises, and 496 checks were carried out in Larnaca, which resulted in 3 complaints against establishments; in Paphos 110 checks were carried out, which resulted in one complaint against a citizen, in Famagusta
