A fake Larnaca Airport Facebook page has resurfaced, claiming to sell passengers' forgotten or lost luggage for 2.99€ per suitcase.
The post by the "CY Airport" account explains that the airport management allegedly decided to get rid of unclaimed luggage because the storage facilities are full and the owners of the suitcases have not been found.
A similar story occurred in November 2023. At the time, a Larnaca Airport spokesperson confirmed that the page was fake and the airport was not holding such a "sale."
