Wizz Air has canceled all flights from/to Chisinau ?? as of March 14 due to security threats. Accordingly, direct flights between Larnaca and Chisinau, which the company had planned since March 30, have also been cancelled. This destination has already disappeared from Wizz Air's reservation system.
"Wizz Air is closely monitoring the security situation in Moldova and is constantly in contact with various local and international authorities and agencies to ensure the highest level of operational safety. Passenger and crew safety remains the number one priority for Wizz Air, and as a result of the recent events in Moldova and the high but not imminent risk in Moldovan airspace, Wizz Air has taken the difficult but responsible decision to suspend all flights to Chisinau, effective March 14", the Company informed.
After March 14, the company plans to increase the frequency of flights from Iasi, Romania.
Passengers who have already booked tickets to/from Chisinau directly on the company's website will be notified of return options.
