The President of the Republic, Mr Nicos Christodoulides, exercising the powers granted to him by the Constitution, has decided to appoint Dr Nicolas A. Ioannidis as Deputy Minister of Migration and International Protection.
The establishment of the Deputy Ministry is an important milestone for our country in the effective management of the Migration issue.
President Christodoulides wishes to express his sincere thanks to the Minister of Interior Mr. Nicolae Ioannis Ioannis. Constantinou Ioannou and his colleagues, whose efforts have had significant results in the effective management of the Migration issue in our country and expresses his confidence that they will work closely and support the new Deputy Minister of Migration and International Protection, especially during the first important steps of staffing the Deputy Ministry.
The Government's targeted policy will continue with the same seriousness and determination, with the Deputy Ministry as the central body for the planning, coordination and supervision of the relevant state services. The improved picture, as a result of the targeted measures implemented over the past year, will be further enhanced with the operation of the new Deputy Ministry under Dr. Nicolas A. Ioannidis.
