The President of the Republic, Mr Nicos Christodoulides, is in Brussels to participate in the work of the informal European Council and the informal meeting of the European People's Party (EPP).
President Christodoulides will attend the informal EPP Summit today at noon, while in the evening he will participate in the informal European Council in the form of a working dinner.
The EPP Summit will discuss the position to be taken by the largest political force of the European Union (EU), in which the President of the Republic will participate, as to who will occupy the four top posts of the European institutions.

In the evening, during the working dinner at the informal European Council, the Heads of State and Government of the EU Member States will take stock of the results of the recent European Parliament elections and exchange views on the new heads of the EU institutions, with a view to reaching agreement at the regular European Council meeting on 27 and 28 June.
The President of the Republic will be accompanied in Brussels by the Deputy Minister for European Affairs, Marilena Raouna, the Director of the President's Press Office, the Director of the President's Diplomatic Office, Mr.
