The Minister of Justice and Public Order, Mr Marios Hartsiotis, accompanied by members of the Ministry, will pay an official working visit to Athens on 29 and 30 April 2024, where he will have meetings with the Minister of Justice, Mr. George Florides, the Minister of Justice, Mr. Michael Chrysochoidis, the Minister of Citizen Protection, Ms. Sophia Zacharaki, the Minister of Social Cohesion and Family and the Deputy Minister of Social Cohesion and Family, Ms. Maria-Alexandra Kefala.
Today the first of a series of meetings with the Deputy Minister of Social Cohesion and Family, Mrs Maria - Alexandra Kefalas took place.During the meeting, the two interlocutors confirmed the excellent bilateral relations between the Ministry of Justice and Public Order and the Deputy Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family and had the opportunity to exchange views and discuss issues related to gender equality, human rights and gender-based violence.
Subsequently, the Minister had a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus in Athens, Mr Stavros Avgoustidis, during which issues related to the competence of the Ministry of Justice and Public Order were discussed.
