Giorgos Dalaras sings for Cyprus
Fifty years have passed this year since the Turkish invasion of 1974 and in view of the International Women's Day, the Office of the Head of Humanitarian Affairs for Missing and Internally Displaced Persons of the Presidency of the Republic, in cooperation with the Municipality of Strovolos, is organizing an event in the framework of which women who contributed to the struggle of Cyprus, defending the homeland, will be honored.
The event entitled "Every Woman and a Story - Women Symbols of Cyprus" aims to highlight unseen aspects of the Cypriot drama of the Turkish invasion of 1974. It is a shocking and yet unseen aspect of the Cypriot drama of the Turkish invasion of 1974, which was experienced and continues to be experienced by the victims and the relatives of the victims.
The event will honour women symbols of Cyprus who, through their action, struggle and self-denial, contributed to the struggle for justice and freedom, but also women who are unknown aspects of the Cypriot tragedy.
For Cyprus and the women symbols, the artist Giorgos Dalaras, who is also an honorary citizen of Strovolos, will sing for free, accompanied by the vocal ensemble Diastasis, while the actress Zoe Kyprianou will also participate in the event for free.

The event is under the auspices of the President of the Republic Mr. Nicos Christodoulides.
The event will take place at the Strovolos Municipal Theatre on 15 March 2024 at 20:00. Entrance is free of charge, by obtaining a Free Admission Ticket from Ticketmaster.cy and from ACS Courier.
