Defence Minister Vassilis Palmas attended the International Defence Exhibition "EUROSATORY 2024", which is being held in Paris, where he inaugurated the Cypriot pavilion.
The Ministry of Defence, supporting the initiative of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) to participate in this exhibition, placed under its auspices the national pavilion, in which seven (7) Cypriot companies are participating.
In the framework of the Exhibition, the French Minister of Defence, Mr. Sébastien Lecornu, hosted a reception, during which Mr. Palmas had the opportunity to hold a brief meeting with him. During the meeting of the two Ministers, the excellent bilateral cooperation between Cyprus and France was reaffirmed, and the common intention to further deepen it.
On the sidelines of the Exhibition, the Minister discussed with the Minister of National Defence of Greece, Mr. Nikos Dendias, the development prospects of the defence industry of Cyprus and Greece, as well as the common challenges that our countries face in the new geopolitical environment. Nenad Miloradovic, regarding aspects of our bilateral cooperation.
Concluding his visit, Mr. Palmas met with the President of the Cypriot Community of France Mr. Evagoras Mavrommatis, in the presence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to France Mr.
