The Ministry of Health continues its efforts to increase vaccination coverage of the population against COVID-19 and particularly to increase booster dose vaccinations, given its importance in boosting the immunity of population groups most susceptible to serious disease and hospitalization.
In this context, and in consultation with the Minister of Health, Mr. Michael Hadjipandela, and the Commissioner for Mountain Community Development, Mr. Kostas Hambiaouris, on Sunday, December 19, 2021, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., a mobile vaccination unit will be at the Kalo Chorio District Primary School of Limassol for the vaccination of the residents of the wider area.
Ministry of Health officials will be in the community to inform citizens about the benefits of vaccination, as well as to answer citizens' questions and concerns regarding vaccination.
The following groups of citizens will be eligible for vaccination by the mobile unit:
- Persons, aged 12 years and older, who have not yet been vaccinated against COVID-19 (1st dose administration).
- Individuals, 12 years of age or older, who have received the 1st dose of Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna vaccine and the period required for the 2nd dose (Pfizer 3 weeks and Moderna 4 weeks) has elapsed.
- As regards vaccination with booster/3rd dose, persons aged 18 years and over will be served, provided that a period of five months and two weeks has elapsed since vaccination with the 2nd dose.
- For persons who have received the Johnson&?Johnson, will be able to receive a booster dose with mRNA technology vaccine (Pfizer/Biontech and Moderna)
As a reminder, all persons must necessarily present proof of identification (ID card, passport, Alien Registration Card, etc.), as well as the vaccination card in the case of persons receiving the 2nd or 3rd dose.
