[PIO] TRANSIT SCHEME 2021-25 - Support for participation in artist residency programmes abroad (2022)

The Cultural Services of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth (MPSAN) announce the new Project TRANSIT 2022, for the enhancement of mobility in the field of Visual Arts.

The TRANSIT[/I] Project, [/I] which is being implemented for the eighth consecutive year, aims to support artists and other professionals active in the field of contemporary art to participate in Artist Residency Programs abroad.

The aim of the scheme is to encourage the mobility of artists in Europe and internationally, through their participation in Residency Programmes which may include research, workshops, seminars, lectures, open studios, the development of individual or group creative work, the presentation of exhibitions, etc.

More generally, the TRANSIT Project aims to encourage networking and the development of collaborations among artists abroad, to promote artistic research and production, to link local practices with the international scene and, by extension, to further enrich and expand the local artistic scene through dialogue and exchange.

The deadline for applications is Thursday, 31 March 2022. This deadline will also cover Programmes starting in the first quarter of the year.
