The Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, Mr.Yannis Karousos, had a meeting with members of the BMW Club Motorcycle Association today, as part of a series of contacts with organized groups for the exchange of suggestions and views on the issue of road safety.
During the meeting, road safety issues were discussed at length and ways to further strengthen cooperation and promote joint initiatives aimed at upgrading infrastructure were examined. Considering the number of road collisions involving motorcyclists, the mutual objective is to promote improvement measures to ensure that all road users travel safely.
Mr. Karousos also had the opportunity to be informed about the actions of the Association and conveyed the readiness of the Ministry of Transport to contribute, as far as possible, to their implementation and, consequently, to the achievement of the common goal.
