[PIO] The President of the Republic will visit Athens

The President of the Republic, Mr Nikos Christodoulides, will travel to Athens on Friday, 15 September, where he will attend a dinner hosted in his honour by the Cyprus Shipowners' Association.

President Christodoulides will welcome the event which will take place at the Cyprus Shipowners' Association building (Cyprus Tower) at 8 pm.

Among other things, the President of the Republic will refer to the challenges facing Cypriot shipping, but also to the comparative advantages of the Cypriot registry, as well as to the synergies between Cyprus and Greece in the shipping sector at European and international level.

The event will be attended by the President of the Hellenic Republic, Mrs. Katerina Sakellaropoulou.

From Athens, the President of the Republic will travel to New York on 16 September to attend the United Nations General Assembly, which he will address.
