[PIO] The President of the Republic goes to Brussels

[BBp]The President of the Republic, Mr Nicos Anastasiades, will leave tomorrow, Wednesday, December 15, for Brussels, where he will participate in the Eastern Partnership Summit and the Summit of Heads of State or Government of the EU Member States, which will take place on December 15 and 16, respectively.[BBp] [BBp]Among the issues to be addressed at the European Council meeting on the 16th are European coordination in response to the pandemic, energy prices, EU external relations, migration and EU security and defence issues.[BBp] [BBp]In the margins of tomorrow's work on the Eastern Partnership, the President of the Republic will have a meeting with Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan at 8 pm (Cyprus time).[BBp] [BBp]The meeting will focus, inter alia, on developments in the Cyprus problem, the crisis in Nagorno Karabakh and bilateral relations between Cyprus and Armenia.[BBp] [BBp]The President will be accompanied in Brussels by the Government Spokesman Mr Marios Pelekanos.[BBp] [BBp] [BBp](RM/MG/EHR)
