The President of the Hellenic Republic, Mr Nicos Christodoulides, will be in Brussels tonight, where he will participate in the European Council meeting to be held on 23 and 24 March, while tomorrow he will have meetings with the heads of the European Union institutions.
Tomorrow, 22 March, at 1 p.m. (Cyprus time), President Christodoulides will have a meeting with the President of the European Commission, Ms Ursula von der Leyen, and an hour later he will have lunch with the President of the European Council, Mr Charles Michel.
At 5:30 pm (Cyprus time), the President of the Republic will meet with the President of the European Parliament, Ms Roberta Metsola.
He will also give an interview to Euronews.
On Thursday, 23 March, at 10 am, President Christodoulides will participate in the European People's Party meeting on the margins of the European Council.
He will then have a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of Sweden, Ulf Kristersson, followed by a meeting with the President of the European People's Party, Manfred Weber.
Later, President Christodoulides will participate in the proceedings of the European Council, during which he will have lunch with UN Secretary General António Guterres.
On 24 March, the President of the Republic will participate in the second day of the Summit and will hold contacts with Heads of State or Government of the Member States of the European Union in the margins of the Summit.
The President of the Republic will be accompanied in Brussels by the Government Spokesman Mr. Konstantinos Letibiotis, the Director of the President's Diplomatic Office Mrs. Marilena Raouna, the Director of the President's Press Office Mr. Victor Papadopoulos and officials.
President Christodoulides will return to Cyprus on the evening of 24 March.
