The President of the Hellenic Republic, Mr Nikos Christodoulides, will travel to Athens tomorrow morning, where he will participate in an event at the University of Athens in the afternoon to mark the 50th anniversary of the Turkish invasion of Cyprus.
As part of his visit, the President of the Republic will lay a wreath at noon at the Memorial of the Fallen in Cyprus, located at the Army Grove in Goudi, in the presence of the Chief of the General Staff of the National Defence Staff, General Dimitrios Houpis.
In the afternoon, the President of the Republic will inaugurate the Photography and Multimedia Exhibition on Famagusta by journalist Sotiris Danezis, at the Melina Mercouri Cultural Centre in Thiseio.
At 7:00 pm, The President of the Republic will attend and speak at a commemoration event organized by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (EKPA), at the University's premises, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Turkish invasion of Cyprus, in the presence of the Rector's Authorities and dignitaries.
President Christodoulides, who will return to Cyprus tomorrow evening, will be accompanied in Athens by the Deputy Government Spokesman Mr. Yannis Antoniou.
