The Speaker of the House of Representatives Mrs. Anita Demetriou signed today, at the Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Cyprus, the book of condolences on the death of the Emir of the country Nawaf Al - Ahmad Al - Jaber Al - Sabah.
In her message, the Speaker conveyed the deepest condolences of the Members of the House and herself personally to the people of Kuwait and the family of the late Emir.
The State of Kuwait, the Speaker said, has lost a charismatic leader who served his country for many decades from critical ministerial positions. Emir Nawaf will be remembered, the message notes, as a consensus builder who sought to bridge differences and bring about reconciliation and stability.
