[PIO] The President of the House of Representatives will pay a visit to France

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Anita Demetriou, will leave tomorrow for a visit to Paris between 17 and 19 January 2024. The President of the House of Representatives will be accompanied by the Director of the International Relations Service, Ms Marina Adamidou, and the Senior International Relations Officer, Ms Sophie Tsourei.

At the French National Assembly, Ms Demetriou will have a meeting with the Speaker of the House, Ms. Yaël Braun-Pivet, in the presence of the President of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Mr Jean-Louis Bourlanges, the President of the French-Cypriot Friendship Group in the National Assembly, Mr Laurent Alexandre, and the deputy representative of French expatriates, Mr Meyer Habib. She will also have a meeting with the President and Members of the French-Cypriot Friendship Group in the French National Assembly. Gérard Larcher, in the presence of Mr Loïc Hervé, Vice-President of the Senate responsible for interparliamentary cooperation and Friendship Groups, Mr Cédric Perrin, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Armed Forces, and Mrs Samantha Cazebonne, President of the France-Cyprus Friendship Group in the French Senate. Mrs Demetriou will also attend part of the plenary session of the House, during which President Larcher will welcome her presence. She will also attend a meeting of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Armed Forces and exchange views with the President and Members of the Committee on issues of common interest to both countries. Christian Cambon for all his actions on behalf of Cyprus and his contribution to further deepening relations between France and Cyprus.

As part of her visit, the Speaker will also have contacts with the Cypriot community in France.
