[PIO] The Minister of Transport represented the Government at the National Anniversary celebrations in New York

Minister of Transport, Communications and Works Alexis Vafeadis made an official trip to New York, representing the President of the Republic Mr.Nikos Christodoulides at the official celebrations of the expatriate community for the national anniversaries of March 25th and April 1st.

On Friday, April 12, 2024, Mr. Vafeadis attended the flag-raising ceremony at the historic Bowling Green, the global stock exchange on Wall Street in Manhattan, where he arrived from St. Nicholas Church (Ground Zero), accompanied by the Euzones.

On Saturday, April 13, 2024, he attended a reception and banquet, where he represented the President of the Republic, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides, and where the parade dignitaries were honored.

On the last day of the official visit, on Sunday, April 14, 2024, he attended a solemn service presided over by the Archbishop of America, Mr. Elpidoforos, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. He then attended the parade on 5th Avenue.
