[PIO] The Minister of Health Mr. Michael Damianos visited the Paphos General Hospital

Health Minister Michael Damianos expressed his satisfaction with the operation of the Haemodialysis Unit, during his visit to the Paphos General Hospital today.

"This is a state-of-the-art project, both for Cyprus and for the wider region, which will particularly upgrade the services provided in this sector in the Paphos district", the Minister noted. He added that based on the planning that has been done, the needs of the Paphos Province, with the operation of the Unit, are guaranteed for at least 15 years.

The Minister also stressed that the upgrading of the health services provided is a top priority in the government programme of the President of the Republic Mr.

Regarding the general efforts to improve the services offered by the Paphos General Hospital, he noted that there is a plan, which is being implemented. "Several projects have been started while others are in the process of implementation", he concluded.
