[PIO] The Minister of Health Mr. Michael Damianos met with the Minister of Health of Greece Mr. Adonis Georgiades

"The cooperation between Cyprus and Greece in the health sector is excellent and has been going on for many years," said Minister of Health Mr. Michalis Damianos, after the conclusion of his meeting with the Greek Minister of Health, Mr. Adonis Georgiades, in the presence of the Greek Deputy Minister of Health, Mr. Marios Themistokleous.

Mr. Damianos thanked Greece for its long-standing support to our country in the health sector and expressed confidence that this will be further strengthened.

In the context of the meeting, he said, issues discussed included the upcoming cooperation between the two countries in the field of transplants, through the signing of two agreements, as well as the issue of amending the intergovernmental agreement between the two countries, which has been in force since 1987.
