In the framework of his contacts with all Parliamentary Parties, Health Minister Michael Damianos met today with the President of the Democratic Party Nicolas Papadopoulos and party officials at the DIKO offices in Nicosia.

In his statements after the meeting, the Minister of Health described the discussion as very constructive, noting that during the meeting, the priorities of the Ministry of Health were discussed with regard to the government programme of Mr. Nicos Christodoulides.

"The challenges facing the Public Health sector are very great. DIKO will stand by our side as a helper and supporter in solving these problems. We will continue to maintain a close contact. We are confident that where there is cooperation with all relevant bodies, things can be done, problems can be solved," Damianos said.

DIKO President Nicolas Papadopoulos said that during the meeting, the Health Minister conveyed his priorities and vision for the Ministry of Health and the health sector in general. "This is a sector with many challenges and many problems, but also with prospects," Papadopoulos said, noting among other things that "DIKO is ready to assist the Minister of Health and the Ministry of Health in the implementation of a very important project. On the one hand, the implementation of the Government Programme of Mr Nikos Christodoulides, but above all, the promotion of the rights and interests of Cypriot patients".
