[PIO] The Minister of Energy, Trade and Industry will represent the President of the Republic at the Egypt-EU Investment Conference in Cairo

The Minister of Energy, Trade and Industry, Mr. George Papanastasiou, departs tonight for Cairo, where he will represent the President of the Republic at the Egypt - EU Investment Conference to be held tomorrow, Saturday 29 June 2024.

Specifically, Mr. Papanastasiou will participate in a roundtable discussion on Egypt's investment prospects, which will take place around 11 am with the participation of the President of the European Commission Ms. Ursula von der Leyen and the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Mr. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

On the sidelines of the Egypt-EU Investment Conference, the Minister of Energy, Trade and Industry also plans to hold private meetings with his Egyptian counterparts, the Minister of Trade and Industry Mr. Ahmed Samir, the Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Dr Mohamed Shaker El-Markabi and the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Mr Tarek El Molla.
