[PIO] The Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment goes to Brescia, Italy

The Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, Dr Maria Panayiotou, is travelling to Brescia, Italy, to represent the Republic of Cyprus at the Ministerial Wine Event organised by the Italian Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forests.

This event takes place in the framework of the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV).

Dr. Maria Panayiotou, in the context of her presence at the event, which will be attended by competent ministers and diplomats from the 50 member states of the OIV, will have, among other things, a formal meeting with her Italian counterpart Mr. Francesco Lollobrigida as well as with the leadership of the OIV.

Minister Panagiotou, in the context of the round table discussion, will make an intervention in which she will refer to Cyprus' contribution to the work of the OIV, which is aimed at the progress of the wine sector and consumer protection.

The Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment returns to Cyprus on 13 April.
