Because through various public statements an attempt is made to shift the responsibility to the Legal Service of the Republic for alleged delays in the examination of recommendations of the Ministry of Health in relation to the "Doctors (Discipline, Associations and Pension Fund) (Amendment) Act 2013", the Law Society of the Republic, rejecting these allegations as unsubstantiated, notes that:

All concerned know or ought to know that nothing is pending before the Law Society on the relevant matter. This fact is demonstrated by the entire history of meetings, actions and correspondence in relation to the above matter.

We regret the ease with which unsubstantiated allegations are made and blame attributed to the Legal Service, which, in any event, is quick to contribute, within the scope of its responsibilities, by directly managing the various matters entrusted to it.
