The Legal Service considered the sentence imposed by the District Court insufficient
A report was filed today, on the instructions of the Attorney General of the Republic Mr. George Savvidis, an appeal was lodged with the Supreme Court against a person who admitted that on two separate occasions, for a fee, he assisted the passage of illegal immigrants from the occupied to the free areas of the Republic.
The accused had been given a 12-month prison sentence by the Limassol District Court, which the Legal Service considers insufficient.
