A visit to the "Garden of the Missing", as Ms Androulla Aristodimou called it, was made by Ms Anna Aristotelous, Head of Humanitarian Affairs of Missing and Trapped Persons.
Ms Androula Aristodimou, the woman who, with a photo of her missing relative in her hand, managed through her struggle, together with mothers and relatives of missing persons, to identify her name with every single painful story of our missing persons, turned her house into a museum for our missing persons.
The history of our land, the missing persons, the refugees, the lost churches, the uprooting, our traditions, found a home and turned into a daily experience, a living museum visited by schools, students and teachers, foreign and Cypriot citizens, to learn about the territories occupied by the conqueror, about people who fought for freedom but are still missing, and about people whose hope of finding out the fate of their loved ones remains alive.
During her visit, Mrs. Aristotelous praised the work, the contribution and the strength of soul of Mrs. Androula Aristodimou. She stressed that it is very important that there are people as determined and dynamic as Ms Aristodimou, dedicated and committed to their struggle and who ensure that this will and stubbornness is passed on to young people, local and foreign citizens, keeping the memory unquenched and hope alive.
