[PIO] The Deputy Minister of State for Shipping goes to London in the framework of the London International Shipping Week 2023

Deputy Minister of State for Shipping Ms Marina Hadjimanoli is on a five-day visit to London, where she will attend the London International Shipping Week 2023 events and hold scheduled meetings with the international shipping and shipowning community. The Deputy Minister will be accompanied by Mr. Stelios Chimonas, Director General of the Deputy Ministry of Shipping.

On Monday, 11 September 2023, the Deputy Minister will host a reception at the premises of the High Commission of Cyprus in the United Kingdom, where government officials, senior members of the international shipping community and representatives of international organisations will be present. During the reception, Ms Hadjimanoli will present the operational framework of Cypriot shipping in general, as well as the advantages and services offered to companies operating in Cyprus. Special reference will be made to the Cyprus Register of Shipping and the competitive framework of services provided to Cypriot flagged vessels.

On Tuesday, 12 September, the Deputy Minister will attend a reception organised by the Government of England and Maritime UK, during which she has been invited to meet Her Royal Highness Princess Anne.

On Wednesday, 13 September, Ms Hadjimanoli will hold meetings with the Secretary General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), Mr Kitack Lim and with the newly elected Secretary General of the IMO, Mr Arsenio Antonio Dominguez Velasco. In these two meetings, the Deputy Minister will be accompanied by Mr Andreas Kakouris, High Commissioner of Cyprus to the United Kingdom and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Cyprus to the IMO.
