The first meeting between the Deputy Minister of Culture Dr. Vasiliki Kassianidou and the new Board of Directors of the Cyprus Theatrical Organisation (THOC) took place at the Deputy Ministry of Culture.
In the context of the first meeting, the objectives of the new Board of Directors were discussed, as well as the challenges arising from the existing issues of the Organisation.
The views and proposals of the members of the new Board of Directors towards finding viable solutions and implementing innovative practices to further strengthen the Agency and the state theatre were expressed.
During the meeting, the importance of continuous cooperation between the Deputy Ministry of Culture and THOC was stressed, with the common goal of developing and strengthening the theatre, which plays a key role in the cultural landscape of the country.
The Deputy Minister of Culture expressed her warm congratulations to the President and the members of the new Board of Directors for their appointment and confirmed the intention of the Deputy Ministry for continuous contact and support for their work.
At the same time, she referred to the valuable contribution of the Government Advisory Council for the selection of distinguished individuals for administrative positions, noting the intention of continued contact and support for the work of the Board.
The Deputy Minister concluded by wishing the new Board of Directors every success in the important work to be carried out by the new Board, expressing her confidence that the new leadership will make a decisive contribution to the development and growth of the THOC, further strengthening its position on the cultural map of the country and the presence of the national state theatre abroad.
