The Consumer Protection Service, taking into account the risks posed by inflatables and other marine/water equipment, especially during the summer months, when there is an abundance of such equipment on the market and their use is high, carried out an inspection campaign on inflatables and other marine/water equipment during the period 25/06/2024-05/07/2024.

The campaign covered 139 outlets nationwide, where on-site inspections were carried out in order to identify and withdraw dangerous inflatables and other marine/water equipment, as well as to inform economic operators. In particular, 13 inflatables and other marine/water equipment were identified as presenting risks and for which the process of withdrawal from the market has been initiated (the details of which are shown here), while in another 12 cases recommendations were made to economic operators to take corrective measures.

The Consumer Protection Service will continue to carry out checks at the premises selling inflatables and other marine/water equipment as part of its daily inspections and will inform consumers of products that contain risks and are being withdrawn from the market.

Finally, it should be noted that the Agency's website has posted informational materials on the «Φουσκωτά και άλλα είδη θαλάσσης/νερού», as well as "Tips for safe use of Inflatable Pools".
