[PIO] The Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign and European Affairs had a meeting with the new Jordanian Ambassador to Cyprus

The Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign and European Affairs Mr. Harris Georgiades met today with the new Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Cyprus Mr. Basheer F. Zoubi on the occasion of his assumption of office.

Mr. Georgiades welcomed Mr. Zoubi to the House of Representatives and wished him every success in his new duties, describing Jordan as a pillar of stability in the region.

The Jordanian Ambassador reiterated his country's principled stance on the Cyprus problem, with Mr Georgiades expressing his appreciation for Jordan's stance.
