The Cyprus Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth (Secondary Education Directorate, Music Office) in cooperation with the Municipality of Ayia Napa is organising the 6th International Music Olympiad, in Ayia Napa, on 18-20 April 2024.
The first Music Olympiad was organized in 2012 in Tallinn, Estonia and since then it has been held every two years. The aim of this international action is to strengthen the development of international contacts in the field of school education in music and hopes to contribute to the achievement of international and European objectives such as contributing to peace, developing solidarity and mutual respect between peoples, combating social exclusion and discrimination, promoting social justice and respecting cultural and linguistic diversity.
During the event, the following events-concerts will be open to the public. [/B]
Thursday, 18 April, at 19:30 at the Amphitheatre of the Thalassa Museum in Ayia Napa.
Competition Part:
Vocal Performance Competition.
Composition Competition: Saturday, 20 April, from 10.00 - 12.00 and 13.00 - 14.30, at the Giorgos Seferis Cultural Centre in Agia Napa (limited number of audience).
Closing Ceremony:
Saturday, 20 April at 19:30 at the Marina of Ayia Napa.
Admission free.
