[PIO] The 30th Session of the POMAC-CSECA Central Council and the 12th World Congress of NEPOMAC will be held in Nicosia

The 30th Central Council Meeting of the World Federation of Expatriate Cypriots - World Coordinating Committee of the Cypriot Struggle (POMAK and WCCA) and the 12th World Youth Congress of the World Federation of Expatriate Cypriots (NEPOMAK) will take place in Nicosia, between July 30 and August 2, 2024.

At the opening ceremony, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Nicos Christodoulides will inaugurate the ceremony on Tuesday evening, 30 July, at the Ktima Kousimi Estate.

At the opening ceremony, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Constantine Combos will welcome the participants, while the President of the House of Representatives Mrs. Anita Demetriou, the Archbishop of Cyprus George and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, responsible for issues of expatriate Greeks, Mr. Georgios Kotsiras, will also address the participants. The Conference will also be welcomed by the President of POMAK Mr. Andreas Papaevripidis, the President of PSEKA Mr. Philip Christopher and the President of NEPOMAK Mr. Christos Toughton.

In the framework of the Conference, on Wednesday, 31 July 2024, the members of the Central Councils of the expatriate organisations will be received by the President of the Republic at the Presidential Palace. A reception will follow at the Presidential Palace for all participants of the Congress, during which a ceremony will be held to honour distinguished Cypriots of the Diaspora.

At the same time, during the three days of the Congress, the expatriates will be briefed by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Energy, Defence and Education on issues of their responsibilities. On the third day of the Conference, the leaders or representatives of the parliamentary parties will address the participants, with whom a discussion will follow. Information will also be provided by other governmental and non-governmental bodies on a variety of issues.
