[PIO] Termination of the operation of the Provincial Offices of the Department of Town and Country Planning in view of the start of the reform of the

In view of the start of the implementation of the Local Government Reform from 1 July 2024, and the operation of the Provincial Self-Government Organizations (POAs), many of the powers of the Minister of Interior under the Law on Town and Country Planning are delegated to the EDAs of Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, Paphos and Famagusta.

For the smooth transfer of responsibilities, the Ministry of Interior announces the following. [*]On Friday, 14 June 2024, at 3 p.m., the possibility of electronic submission of planning applications via the "IΠPOΔAMOS" system is also terminated. [*]The operation of the "IPPODAMOS" system will be suspended from Monday, 17 June 2024 until Sunday, 30 June 2024, for the purpose of migrating from the old registration system, all planning applications to the "IPPODAMOS" system, in the five Provincial Local Authorities, and for the processing of all checks required for the proper operation of the system from 1 July 2024. [*]From Monday, 3 June 2024 until Friday, 14 June 2024, the receipt of planning applications shall be carried out as normal at the local District Offices, following the arrangement of a scheduled meeting, as the established procedure. [*]On Friday, June 14, 2024, the operations of the Public Service Centers of the Department of Planning and Zoning shall be terminated. Until that date, free public access shall be provided to the Service Centers during the designated public service hours, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. [*]From Monday, June 17, 2024 through Friday, June 28, 2024, the District Offices of the Department of Planning and Zoning will be closed to the public in order to advance and complete required relocation actions and/or actions to prepare the new Agencies for operation on July 1, 2024.
